同人，柔得位得中而應乎乾。
Six Lines · 六爻
Fellowship at the gate. No blame.
同人于門，无咎。
Going out the gate to meet people. Who would blame them?
出門同人，又誰咎也。
Fellowship in the clan. Regret.
同人于宗，吝。
Mixing with one's clan. A constricted path.
同人于宗，吝道也。
Ambush in the thicket. Climbing the high hill. For three years, no action.
伏戎于莽，升其高陵，三歲不興。
Hiding soldiers in the thicket. The enemy is strong. For three years they do not rise. They go along with the one above.
伏戎于莽，敵剛也。三歲不興，安上行也。
Mounted on the wall. Unable to attack. Fortune.
乘其墉，弗克攻，吉。
Climbing the wall, it is not right to attack. Its good fortune: being trapped and returning to the norm.
乘其墉，義弗克也。其吉，則困而反則也。
Fellowship first cries out, then laughs. The great army meets.
同人先號咷而後笑，大師克相遇。
Taking the lead in mixing with others, due to centered uprightness. Meeting the great army, they speak of overcoming.
同人之先，以中直也。大師相遇，言相克也。
Fellowship in the outskirts. No remorse.
同人于郊，无悔。
Mixing with others in the outskirts. The will has not been attained.
同人于郊，志未得也。
