The gentle attains a noble place and great center; all others respond to it.
大有，柔得尊位大中而上下應之。
Six Lines · 六爻
No harmful interactions. Not a fault. Hardship avoids blame.
无交害，匪咎，艱則无咎。
Great Possession's first line. No harm in associations.
大有初九，无交害也。
A great wagon loaded. Going forward. No blame.
大車以載，有攸往，无咎。
A large cart for loading. Accumulated in the center, it does not fail.
大車以載，積中不败也。
The prince offers to the Son of Heaven. The petty person cannot.
公用亨于天子，小人弗克。
The noble shares with the ruler, but the petty person brings harm.
公用亨天子，小人害也。
Not flaunting wealth. No blame.
匪其彭，无咎。
Avoiding excess, no blame. Discrimination brings clarity.
匪其彭，无咎。明辨晰也。
Sincerity shines. Authority without force. Fortune.
厥孚交如，威如，吉。
Their sincerity forms bonds, trust expresses intent. The fortune of awe comes from being at ease without pretense.
厥孚交如，信以發志也。威如之吉，易而无備也。
Blessed by heaven. Fortune. Nothing unfavorable.
自天祐之，吉无不利。
Great possession brings supreme fortune, from heaven's blessing.
大有上吉，自天祐也。
